Inion Ltd, a Tampere-based medical implant manufacturer have a clean room designed by AX Consulting.
|
Traditionally clean rooms have been used mainly by pharmaceutical and electronics industries. However, recently a number of new sectors, including plastics manufacturing, food industry and various research institutes, have also begun to make use of clean rooms.
Clean room services provided by AX Consulting cover both general project planning and the more detailed designing for the clean room as well as procurement, supervision and measurement services.
It is important that the class of the clean room (e.g. Class 100 ISO 5) is suitable for the purpose. Too high a class means unnecessarily high investment and operation costs. Too low a class on the other hand can lead to production losses as the minimum requirements for cleanliness are not met. It is always worth starting a clean room project with a thorough feasibility study to back up the investment decision. By being involved in R&D projects funded by Tekes (National Technology Agency of Finland), AX Consulting has gained valuable experience of clean room technology.

| Apart from the clean room itself, the achieved Clean Room Class also depends on the clean room garments used as well as the staff work methods. |
